I’ve been reading a book called “The Untethered Soul” by Michael A. Singer, which I find very interesting. The most important message in the book is about being present in the things you do in your daily life. By being present and aware in every moment, it means that you can appreciate life and enjoy its experiences on a moment by moment basis. It can also help you deal with challenges that come up.

On my trip to the supermarket today, there were a couple of things that made me smile but one of them stands out in my mind. A guy, who I‘d say was in his late fifties, pretty good looking, with jet black hair, a close-shaven black beard, that was greying here and there, who was in the queue in front of me at Jumbo supermarket, was softly singing to himself in between the conversation he was having with the cashier. It made me smile both inside and out. He was attractive, which added to the experience. He didn’t have any headphones on either and it was obvious that he was in a good mood.

It lightened my day anyway and that always helps. What made you smile today?
